Can we book an exclusive wedding package for just one night?                                                    During our main wedding season, from May to September, our exclusive wedding package is a two-day weekend affair only. This includes two nights' accommodation across all 24 rooms and private use of the entire chateau and its English gardens from 2 PM on Friday until 11 AM on Sunday. This ensures a relaxed and convenient setting for all your preparations and the wedding day itself. You can enjoy full use of the chateau from Friday, unwind by the natural biotopic swimming lake, or host a casual family barbecue. Guests unable to arrive on Friday can check in from Saturday morning, without waiting for the usual check-in time.

From when to when does the exclusive chateau hire last?                                                              Exclusive hire typically runs from 2 PM on your arrival day until 11 AM on the following day, or whenever you wish your exclusive use to end. During this period, the chateau is entirely yours, along with your guests and any suppliers, all looked after by our dedicated team. The chateau grounds are completely closed to the public at this time.

How many rooms are there, and what's the total guest capacity?                                                Chateau Mcely offers 24 elegantly appointed rooms across five categories. Our maximum guest capacity, including extra beds, is 55. Each room boasts its own unique design and name. All rooms within a given category offer the same level of comfort, though sizes may vary. We'll provide you with a detailed room list during planning, allowing you to allocate guests according to your preferences. Should our capacity be insufficient, we recommend considering accommodation at the nearby Chateau Loučeň, just a 10-minute drive away and historically linked to Chateau Mcely.

Are young children welcome at Chateau Mcely?                                                                                      Absolutely! We extend a warm welcome to even the littlest guests. We're happy to provide all necessary amenities and equipment in the rooms and the Piano Nobile restaurant. There's a children's playground in the park and a kids' corner in the restaurant. Everything – accommodation, the children's menu, and the spa menu - is inspired by the story of Princess Nely of Chateau Mcely, written by our co-founder, Inéz Cusumano.

Is Chateau Mcely dog-friendly?                                                                                                                        Yes, we'll gladly look after your four-legged companions. We provide all the necessary amenities in the rooms and around the chateau, and we even have a special dog menu.

Does the wedding package include coordination?                                                                                Yes, it does. All our wedding packages include comprehensive coordination – from assisting with registry office communication and document preparation to planning and refining the schedule, as well as coordinating the entire wedding day. Our aim is for you and your guests to fully immerse yourselves in the wedding experience. We'll handle all the details for you.

How late can the evening celebration go on? Are there noise restrictions?                              Service in the Piano Nobile restaurant as part of the exclusive package continues until 2 AM. Afterwards, you can move to the Alchymista Club, where our team will prepare refreshments according to your wishes, albeit without service. Outdoors (in the park and on the Bellavista Patio), standard noise curfew rules apply from 10 PM. If you'd like to extend music performances or evening events outside, we can try to request an exception from the local council until 2 AM on Friday or Saturday. This exception has limited availability and involves a contribution of CZK 10,000 to the Mcely municipality.

Is it possible to have fireworks?                                                                                                                        With regard to our green operations and consideration for the surrounding nature, we recommend not having traditional fireworks. Our preferred option is silent fireworks, which are significantly more environmentally friendly and considerate of the surroundings – their effects reach a maximum height of 3 meters and require no permit. The price depends on the scope and length of the show. We are happy to recommend a reliable supplier.

Traditional fireworks can be arranged after prior approval from the municipality and are associated with a contribution to the municipality of Mcely in the amount of 15,000 CZK. The municipality approves only a few fireworks per year. If you are considering traditional fireworks, we recommend limiting loud aerial effects (such as aerial shells), which are the most acoustically prominent. We are happy to verify your potential request.

Can we provide our own catering?                                                                                                                  As Chateau Mcely is home to the award-winning Piano Nobile restaurant, led by Executive Chef Jan Štěrba, it is not possible to use external catering services. Our wedding packages include a wedding tasting, which allows you to experience our cuisine and tailor the menu to your tastes, preferences, ideas, and the style of your celebration.

Can we bring our own wedding cake, mini desserts, Sweet Bar, or wedding koláče?        For your wedding cake, we recommend contacting our trusted suppliers. We'd also be delighted to offer wedding cakes from our own kitchen during your wedding tasting, as well as mini pastries or a Sweet Bar. You are welcome to provide your own wedding koláče (traditional Czech wedding pastries). If you need any assistance with these, please let us know.

Do you offer a corkage fee option?                                                                                                                  We understand that couples may wish to include their own wines or favorite family bottles in their celebration. Our restaurant offers the possibility of an individual arrangement. We'd be happy to discuss your specific ideas and assess them in relation to a minimum consumption. Please contact us for specific options and a quotation.

Why is a service charge included in the wedding package?                                                              The service charge reflects the exceptional experience we offer at Chateau Mcely – superior service, a high ratio of staff dedicated exclusively to your wedding, and meticulous attention to detail. Its value is set to reflect not only the service itself but also the facilities, preparations, and staffing levels for your wedding celebration. Thank you for recognizing our philosophy of kind, professional service.

Can we use our own suppliers?                                                                                                                          Yes, we'd be very happy to recommend our established partners who are familiar with Chateau Mcely and share our commitment to quality and professionalism. You are also welcome to use your own suppliers. In this case, please provide their contact details so we can ensure smooth organization and coordination. The only exception, based on past experience, is the wedding cake, which should be ordered through our culinary team or our trusted suppliers.
