As Chateau Mcely is a heritage estate dating back to the mid-17th century, each guest room features a unique, bespoke layout. Generally:

  • Second-floor rooms possess an enchanting attic character (with the exception of one Superior Double, one Deluxe Double, and one Luxury Suite) and offer views of the park or the surrounding countryside through charming dormer windows or skylights.
  • The Agape Presidential Suite on the third floor boasts the most breathtaking panoramic vistas of the English-style park and the St. George Forest.

Is there a fitness center on-site?
While you won’t find a traditional indoor gym at the chateau, we invite you to embrace our "natural fitness" concept. Within the chateau park, you can enjoy an open-air fitness area and a multi-purpose court for tennis or basketball. Our reception team will also be delighted to recommend scenic running trails through the surrounding countryside.

What activities are available for guests during a longer stay?
Chateau Mcely is nestled in the heart of the vast St. George Forest, a pristine setting perfect for leisurely strolls or morning runs. You may also explore the area on our chateau bicycles or a Vespa. We would be happy to suggest routes, including the legendary Princess Almeria trail or paths following the first blooms of spring.

Nearby, you can visit the Jabkenice Forest, home to the Bedřich Smetana Museum, where the great composer composed and lived at the end of his life. For families, we recommend Chleby Zoo, the Labyrinths at Loučeň Chateau (historically linked to our estate), or the Mirakulum park. Our location is also ideal for visiting UNESCO World Heritage sites, such as Bohemian Paradise (Český ráj) or Kutná Hora.
